d20Pro v2.2 coming soon!

Postby thraxxis on Mon Jul 19, 2010 10:50 pm

Hail and well met,

I'm pleased to announce that d20Pro v2.2 is on schedule for release by GenCon. More information, including how to get in the closed Beta, will be posted soon. The 2 major features to expect are Multiple Campaigns and Creature Import Plugins. The former will allow you to run any number of different campaigns, each with its own rules, maps, creatures, etc. You choose at startup which campaign to load. The latter will allow the d20Pro Team to immediately release updates for our favorite 3rd party formats without having to release a new version of d20Pro itself. The plugins system will also allow crafty Java programmers to import creatures from any source they can figure out how to attach to.

Many other small fixes and enhancements will be delivered as well. More information will be made available in the coming weeks, stay tuned!
Best regards and good gaming,

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are still on schedule for this release and are in the final stages of testing with some of our community members. As long as no new problems crop up we still plan to release by GenCon.

The release candidate is built and looking good. Final tests are occurring this weekend.

Expect v2.2 to be available at http://get.d20pro.com in the next few days. This is going to be another big step forward, looking forward to GenCon. See you there!
