Where to find players or games to play in?

Postby bigkilla on Tue Jul 13, 2010 9:54 pm

Yo, it seems like the community here is really very small and it seems really hard to find players or games to play in. My question is: Is the community truly so small that the pool of players and GM's just are not there yet and it is going to take more time for the community to grow? Or do most of the people mainly use D20pro with their existing group and are not looking to add new people/players?

Second question: Is there any other places on the intraweb where people advertise/look for games using D20pro? If so I have not found any.

Honestly, I love this program and play exclusively with my old gaming group. I've looked for 4ed games here but, I only see players looking for games rather than DMs looking for players. If your willing to DM a group. I am sure you won't have a problem finding players...

I would be interested in playing, although I have never played 4E.

Not a problem. It's pretty easy to get the hang of, and you wouldn't be the only one learning. Drop me a PM if you're interested with your email address.

Try Tangled Web and ENWorld. Granted, finding a D20Pro game is going to be hard. However, you will probably be able to find other VTT games.

Yeah, I got some hits from ENworld and found a game or 2 to play in there. I'm going to picking up Fantasy Grounds II as I see a lot of people offering games for that VTT, but I will most likely only buy the basic licence for it.

I would suggest MapTools for a second VTT. It uses JAVA like D20Pro and is free. Also, there is a fairly large community and the developers listen to input. Also, the Pathfinder FW built for it is great and if you need help, I use it all the time as I DM three games and play in two others.
